Ophthalmology

Ophthalmology is a type of medicine that specialises in diagnosing and treating diseases, infections, defects and injuries that affect your eyes.

We provide medical and surgical treatment for a wide range of eye conditions and diseases including injuries, movement problems, corneal infections; glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), retinal disorders and cataracts.

Alongside our appointed outpatient and day surgery services we run a referral Rapid Eye Service at Queen Mary’s Hospital, Sidcup.

The Rapid eye service is closed during weekends.
