Doors opened to patients on 23 July 2020 and the new hi-tech scanning unit will deliver many benefits including increased appointment availability, enhanced image quality and overall improved patient experience.
The facility is the result of a partnership project between Oxleas and Alliance Medical.
Rachel Evans, Director of Estates and Facilities at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, said: "We are delighted to be able to work with partners to increase the range of valuable services available at Queen Mary's Hospital. This development will provide a significant benefit for local residents and we have therefore been very happy to support Alliance Medical to make this possible."
UK Managing Director, Richards Evans, said: "Alliance Medical continues to invest in the latest equipment and facilities to provide the best access and patient experience in partnership with the NHS. We hope that this new facility, delivered in partnership with Oxleas NHS, provides local access and superior patient experience."
