Friends of Queen Mary's
The Friends is an organisation that was set up more than 50 years ago as a community partnership project between The Rotary Club of Sidcup, Queen Mary’s Hospital and the local community.
Friends of Queen Mary’s Sidcup Limited is the charitable parent company managed by a Board of Trustees. It’s wholly owned subsidiary is Friends Shops Limited which operates retail outlets within Queen Mary’s Hospital.
Friends Shops Limited is supported by approximately 150 volunteers who work with volunteer coordinators and the Board of Friends Shops Limited to generate resources to benefit Queen Mary’s Hospital.
The resources generated by Friends Shops Limited are patriated to the Charitable Holding Company and the Trustees make discretionary awards available for the benefit of patients, visitors and staff at Queen Mary’s.
