Urology, Planned Care Centre

Our urology team provides general and specialist care at our Planned Care Centre. Conditions treated include:

  • Erectile Dysfunction
  • Growths (such as polyps and tumours)
  • Incontinence
  • Interstitial Cystitis
  • Kidney Stones
  • Other Urological Disorders
  • Painful Bladder Syndromes.

Our Planned Care Centre has 32 surgical beds across two ward areas. Surgery registration takes place in our Surgical Admissions Lounge in Mottingham Ward and after surgery patients return to Avery Hill Ward, located in the Planned Care Centre on the 4th floor in the Main Building.

Thanks to advances in medical technology, many procedures are now performed on an outpatient day-case basis designed to return patients home on the same day.
